Piku is an upcoming Hindi film directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by MSM Motion Pictures in association with Saraswati Entertainment Creations Limited (SECL) and Rising Sun Films. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan,Deepika Padukone, and Irrfan Khan in principal roles. The film explores the father and daughter relationship between Bachchan's and Padukone's characters. The film is scheduled for release on April 30, 2015.
The main cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Irrfan Khan was finalized in mid-2014. With the main cast settled, the complete cast will be finalized in August 2014 as the director may choose to cast some more actors from Bengal.
