Happy New Year opened with a very good response in Multiplxes and Single Screen and this has made Happy New Year the highest grosser on Day 1 of all time.
According to a report on koimoi.com "This Shah Rukh Khan starrer has clocked record-breaking collections on Day 1 i.e. 1st Friday. HNY has made a whopping business of over 44.97 crores yesterday, thus shattering all previous records attained by any Bollywood film. The film collected 42.62 cr in Hindi, Telugu made 1.43 crores collections and Tamil Version made 0.92 crores business."
Although the ratings for the movie is average. It would be interesting to see the response in weekends.
